    About the Opportunity:

     

    The Contracts Administrator will partner with legal, finance, marketing and other departments to successfully administer and ensure compliance with company contracts with various government customers, prime contractors and subcontractors.  The Contracts Administrator is responsible for assisting with the development, negotiation and execution and compliance of company contracts within various government relationships.

    Responsibilities

    Educational Qualifications:

    • BS. or B.A. degree in an associated discipline and a minimum of 3 years related experience (or a minimum of 3 years related experience overall may be applicable).
    • Must have a proven record showing experience with demonstrating above average presentation and leadership skills.
    • Ability to use independent judgment and creativity to resolve contract issues.
    • Must have a proven record of excellent working knowledge of a wide range of US government procurement processes and procedures, to include FAR, DFAR, other agency FAR supplements, GSA schedules, cost/price proposal preparation, CAS, various contract types (e.g. IDIQ, CPFF, CR, FFP, T&M, etc.), and various agreement types (non-disclosure, teaming, subcontracts, etc.).
    • Experience in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).

     Responsibilities:

    • Administer multiple and/or complex government contracts of various types through issuance of internal authorizations and controls.
    • Monitor government contract performance for compliance with contractual provisions.
    • Provide sound business/regulatory/compliance advice and guidance to management and other departments regarding contract performance, risk avoidance/mitigation and problem resolution.
    • Identify potential conflict of interest situations and apply acceptable solutions to mitigate impacts.
    • Prepare correspondence to government, prime contractors and subcontractors relating to the execution and administration of contracts.
    • Negotiate a variety of contractual documents to include contracts/task orders, modifications, non-disclosure and teaming agreements to meet company and government objectives.
    • Update and maintain contract pertinent information to include contract ceiling and funding values, period-of-performance, special terms and conditions, etc.
    • Prepare contract-related information in response to inquiries from both internal and external customers.
    • Review RFPs/RFQs to determine risk and support bid and proposal activities as required.
    • Prepare status reports for management.
    • Compile and prepare documentation in support of contract/task order close-outs.
    • Establish and maintain official corporate contract files.
    • Interface with finance to ensure the timely processing of contractual information and documentation.
    • Maintain awareness of government, legal and procedural requirements and trends regarding procurement policies in order to effectively negotiate contracts and subcontracts involving both governmental customers.
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage difficult customer questions and respond promptly to customer needs.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product while meeting goals and deadlines.
    • Strong work ethics and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant government contract-related software.
    • Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines.
    • Be analytical and methodical in the approach to problems.
