Training Specialist

 

CoventBridge is seeking a Training Specialist to join our Desktop Investigation Unit team. In this training specialist role, you will serve as the principal trainer for the Desktop Investigations Unit.  You will not only lead classroom and one-on-one instruction but also create and maintain curriculum, in addition to partnering with our technical teams on an ongoing basis to identify and address opportunities to improve our overall quality and efficiency.     

This is a full-time hourly position based from a remote home office.  

Responsibilities/ Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibilities for this role are to manage all aspects of technical training for our investigative staff by:

  • Conducting classroom or one-on-one instruction, in person or online, for new and existing employees while using creativity, innovation, and knowledge of adult learning concepts to develop, enhance, and continually improve our classroom and blended learning programs.
  • Create end-user training programs for CoventBridge investigative staff, develop curriculum and reference materials, and be responsible for updates to training and ongoing training of new hires or existing staff.
  • Become knowledgeable with company-specific processes and procedures.
  • Interact with technical experts to prepare training programs to increase service quality and drive increased and efficient productivity.
  • Create real-world, relevant training scenarios based on knowledge and experience with customer cases.
  • Coordinate training schedules, equipment, and access needs for students.
  • Communicate with the Leadership team regarding suggested areas of improvement in workflow, processes, technology opportunities, or client handling.

Ideal candidates will have an aptitude to obtain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of proprietary products and translate those capabilities into valuable training that enables and empowers our employees to deliver a wide variety of high-quality products successfully.

 

Other duties/special projects:  May be assigned to perform investigative duties, conduct quality reviews, support other business stakeholders via project work, and handle other training and/or support duties for other departments on an as-needed basis.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical users at all levels
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Advanced user of online meeting software
  • Advanced internet research skills inclusive of social media platform functionality
  • Working knowledge of learning management systems
  • Experience in managing and conducting training classes both in-person and online
  • Experience in the development of training curricula, user guides, and videos
  • Excellent instructor-led training and facilitation, questioning, and feedback/coaching skills in a corporate environment
  • Solid analytical, presentation, planning, and time management skills
  • Must have an engaging presence with ability to relate to your audience while upholding business requirements
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • High level of ownership
  • Well organized and able to accommodate multiple training initiatives in an allotted timeframe
  • Positive and Self-motivated, demonstrating effective creativity and encouragement
  • Ability to learn, adjust, and respond in a dynamic, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment
  • Flexibility – occasional scheduling and delivery of training may need to occur in the evening
  • Experience collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

 

Educational/Experience Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Investigations, including desktop investigative services, Insurance, and/or Criminal Justice is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of (1) year of experience working in a fast-paced customer service or technical environment as an instructor, trainer, mentor, or investigator is preferred.
  • Experience in course development and/or delivering customer presentations is preferred.
  • Working experience with online and computer-based training development is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with desktop investigative services such as social media and medical canvassing investigations is preferred.

The hourly rate for this role is $20.67 to $22.12 per hour. This is the highest rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.  An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
